Building more than a design system
In 2026, I joined Tabs to lead the development of Balance, our design system.
As we started building components, we realized we were missing something important: a clear product vision to guide the decisions we were making. Without that direction, we risked turning existing inconsistencies into reusable components.
So my role evolved beyond building the design system to helping define what a more consistent, reliable Tabs experience should look like.
Today, I’m working on both in parallel, establishing shared components, page layouts, and visual standards that bring greater consistency to the product while laying the foundation for more ambitious design work down the line.
